St. Martha’s Lighthipe Scholarships: Empowering IRHS Grads for a Brighter Future!

At St. Martha’s, we are dedicated to enhancing the community lives of graduating and graduates of Indian River High School (IRHS). New need based scholarships for one year with the potential to continue in amounts from $500 to $5,000 for seniors and graduates of Indian River High School who are seeking a life-changing experience through education! It’s easy and fast to apply online today!

Our scholarship program is not just a beacon of hope but a testament to our commitment to the future of IRHS graduates. We collaborate closely with IRHS counselors to inform graduating seniors about our need-based financial scholarships, designed to help those requiring additional financial support attend their chosen college. We strive to make the application process smooth and accessible.

How to Apply

To qualify, you must be a US citizen and live full-time in Sussex County, Delaware, within an Indian River High School (IRHS) District Area resident zip code in 19939, 19945, 19975, 19944, 19930, 19967, and 19970.

Applicants must be an IRHS graduating senior or graduate who must include:

  1. IRHS Official Transcript with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and school ranking,
  2. FAFSA SAR, including all federal grants (PELL, Inspire, SEED, and others) and additional college and private scholarships for total financial awards.
  3. Two IRHS Letters of Recommendation from a counselor and or faculty members and 
  4. One Personal Essay – one to two pages max.

 

Scholarships will be awarded for any school (including college, trade school, technical school, etc.) but preference will be made for institutions in Delmarva.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  APRIL 15, 2026
